Have you heard of trees for future?

Have you heard of trees for future?

Deforestation is one of the main drivers of climate change. Statistics show that at the current rate, rainforests will disappear by 2100.

Today we won’t focus on what’s driving this, although if you’d like to know more you can have a look here, we’ll focus on one of the organizations that are fighting this and that we believe is doing a great job.

We are talking about Trees for the Future, a nonprofit organization that not only plants trees around Africa but also have created what they call the Forest Garden Program. The aim of this is to train local farmers over a period of 4 years to revitalize their land through a sustainable process.

By providing the training and tools, farmers are able to cultivate fruits and vegetables that they can then sell and they make a living.

In the 30 years, they’ve been active, they’ve planted over 187 million trees and restored over 28,000 acres of land.

They are so many ways to help this incredible community, not just by donating, so if you are interested in finding out more, go ahead and check them out here.
